SF Trip

Saturday, Ashe and I went to SF

Saturday, Ashe and I went to SF.  We went to meet a few people and to celebrate someone’s birthday.

Something went amiss with the hotel reservation.  For a while, Ashe and I thought Hotel Fusion, and Clift Hotel were one in the same, because of some funky Expedia.com thing.  Well, they aren’t.  Hotel Fusion kinda sucks.  It’s not as though anything was particularly bad (well maybe the ‘continental breakfast’, it’s a rare occasion I pass on free food, but that time I did.), it’s just that nothing was really all that good. If you are visiting the area sometime, I’m sure you can find better.

We hopped on a bus to get down to The Haight area to shop (side note:  I don’t care if the shoes are ‘vintage’, used shoes aren’t worth $225) and meet up for drinks.  This is whom we met, Connie and Stella (Stella was the birthday girl):

Blu

Saint Ste..

After drinks and a little shopping, we catch a bus back to the hotel, and then walk to our friend’s hotel.  Our friend’s hotel was half a mile away, not bad for a little walk. (WARNING: San Francisco walks include hills, which make walks much more tiring.)

Our friends were getting ready to go out, and we were hungry, so we just went to the Mel’s Diner on the opposite corner of their hotel.  They joined us soon, along with 3 other guys, only one of whom I could find a MySpace for.

We all went for a couple drinks, then called it a night.  Good people, made the night fun.

I just remembered the one good thing about the Hotel.  The bathroom.  The shower was particularly cool.

Anyway… the next morning we woke up in time for the Free Costco bread provided by the Hotel, and decided against it.  Checked out, and had breakfast at Lori’s Diner.  Nice place.  We shopped at H & M.

Then we went to a Carnival in the city.  Mexican Energy Dink = Good.  Yucca Chips = Good.  Kitsch Shopping = Good.  Girl dancing wildly on her porch with exposed pit-hair = BAD.

We’ll go dancing next time Ashe.

...Except I'll be dancing wildly SANS pit-hair. Eew. I don't care how liberal you are, there's enough hippy-stink in SF without that 'earthy' aroma wafting from your bushy stench-pits.

I think I want that shower. You really seemed to like it. ;)

Oh, and Blu and Saint Stella are the most awesome womens in the world. We need to move to LA. ^_^
