Movies for $9

Some of the major studios in Hollywood have made a deal with CinemaNow to offer movies avaiable online, that you can burn to a DVD.

A few of the technologies they are using are still being tested (like the DVD you burn from their file not being able to be copied). Makes me wonder what the license actually entails. Can I burn two DVD's from my downloaded file? Legally?

Their initial batch of movies are pretty limited and kinda crappy, but after their anti-piracy technology gets ironed out, They plan on having more. 9 bucks is cheaper than a rental and a late charge.

So is this going to be the new thing instead of having movies shown in the theater? Or just a new way to buy?

Anyway, I'm sure this kind of thing was inevitable, considering this is where technology is going.

That comedian was right... Nowadays, saying you're not 'into' computers is like saying "You know, I'm not really into 'phones'".
